Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Kingfish
  • 2 tablespoons Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tablespoons Coriander Powder
  • 3 Tablespoons Ground Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Fenugreek Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Vinegar
  • 500 ml Coconut Milk Curry Leaves
  • 2-3 Green Chillies
  • 5-6 Shallots
  • 5 Tablespoons Coconut Oil

Instructions

Mix coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, pepper powder, and fenugreek powder in a bowl.

Add Vinegar & 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

Mix well till it forms a thick paste.

Heat coconut oil in a saucepan.

Add mustard seeds & curry leaves, let them crackle for a few seconds

Add shallots, ginger-garlic paste & green chillies.

Fry till the onions become golden brown.

Add the spice mix.

Fry for 4-5 minutes, until it turns brown.

Add coconut milk. Stir well.

Add the fish pieces & salt to taste.

Cook for 10-12 mins.

Curry is the best when it's kept to rest for 2-3 hours.
